This day-long maternal mental health training focuses on clinical and treatment considerations for women and families who suffer with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. We will discuss issues of intimate partner violence, substance use, attachment, grief and loss to address how those issues impact the mother, the pregnancy, the infant and the family. We will address treatment planning, considerations of medication, support groups and the needs of the clinic in order to provide maternal mental health sensitive treatment.
