Ongoing psychotherapy sessions are open-ended, in-depth therapy for support, learning skills, coping with stress and healing. We meet for 50 minute sessions, weekly or bi-weekly depending on your need.
I will send you some forms to fill out before we meet so that I have a sense of what your needs are before we meet for the first time. Our first meeting consists of me getting to know you and to understand your reasons for seeking support at this time. I will ask questions to help me understand your needs and hopefully we come up with a plan or direction for our work together.
We continue on in sessions to explore and deepen the understanding of the issues you are seeking relief from. I listen closely, ask questions, offer perspective and support, teach coping skills and continue to check in with you along the way to make sure your needs are being met. The therapy works best when we are both invested and working toward your wellness. Good news, you don’t have to know exactly what you need before you come in for help. Often times, we figure it out together and co-create a plan and a path forward. Healing is sometimes complicated, sometimes hard, but always worth it. I hope to support you on your healing journey.
